    A couple of others I know:

    Front towards enemy - printed on a claymore mine (Those may not be the exact words, it's been a while since I've seen one.)

    Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. If you can use the aircraft again, it's a great landing. - common aviator saying.

    The one that I always quote came from an Air Force General...and I wish that I could track the quote down accurately so that I could find the fella's name...

    I've found that this is good advice in any number of situations...not just military aviation.
