Christmas was great this year. I didn't get anything "kilt related" but that's quite alright as this year I bought myself all the kilt stuff I needed (3 hand sewn 16 oz. woolen kilts and a couple of high end fur sporrans in a year is enough for ANY man. ) The big gift for the two of us was a lovely, and expensive, table from Nikki's parents. It's the decorative type that is made to be up against a wall. No doubt it will surface in a kilt photo or two over the next year. We also received a MUCKLE BIG CLOCK from them as well. My personal "big" present was from my mother.

Unless that man is Hamish...
Then again, he's more of a legend, so I guess you're right.

I expect to have Alan H's Black Denim RK coming anytime now and also the funds to get myself another kilt of some sort, but I think I'll be doing some shopping around to see what I wanna be getting for sure.

Hey there, Rocky! Merry Christmas, brother! To answer your question- I got a hand forged striker and a bag full of flint and tinder! Yes, I actually got coal- and am happy as heck about it! How cool is that?

I did pretty good this year, mostly of hand made kilt related clothing made by my loving and genius wife...
First, she made me two band collar shirts with a little extra length. Both are silk but one is a silk broadcloth and the other is a silk and linen blend. I got a black one with a white collar and a cream one (in the photo).
Then she made me a Jacobite blue bonnet--knitted and felted--and a white satin cockade (from a photo and illustration here on this forum...thank you very much).
And lastly, after a lot of research and many mistakes that had to be taken out, she made me a singleton and a third (didn't get it done in time for Christmas) of tartan hose to match my kilt.
I also got a small round "sporran" flask from my daughter.
Here you can see the shirt, bonnet and hose:
and this photo shows the hose a little more closely:

Happy Christmas to all who partake!! Scooby and his mom gave me a potpouri of coffee related items, including a handpainted mug. No kilt related items, but I think I may finally get my "kilt jacket" in time for Burn's Supper next month; it's been in progress for more than a decade.
