Did Santa Come?
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my fellow XMARKS members.
For those of us who celebrate Christmas, I have a question... did Santa come this year? What did YOU guys get?
Although non-kilt related (I have most of what I need for 'kilt stuff' at my disposal), I got the following big gift:
Cordless (bluetooth) Headphones! This way I can listen to music while sewing and not worry about the cord getting in the way. I can also walk across the room and leave my IPOD on my desk and still hear the music!
Who's next... what did you guys get? What was your 'big gift' this year (kilt OR non-kilt related)?

Merry Christmas everyone and God bless you.
My lovely wife got me a new semitrad in US Navy tartan, a set of matching flashes, and a pair of kilt hose in navy from Rocky. She did let me open these early. In addition, she converted an older navy sportcoat into a Crail jacket for me.
We always get one new gift for the family, this year a new printer/copier/scanner.
I thought I had opened everything with the above, but what did I find under the tree this morning? A bottle of The Glenlivet
I also received a couple of smaller non-kilt related items for one of my hobbies.

I got a very mysterious "coupon" from my son and daughter that they have a special something coming for me that the postman has not delivered yet. Included in the note was a small Saltire flag. Hmm... wonder what it could be? Also my wife purchased a new Argyle and Vest from Rocky that fits perfectly and looks wonderful. (Thanks for your help with this one Rocky). Our family is healthy, happy, and survived the disasterous ice-storms of the past week, so it has been a very Merry Christmas indeed.

Santa brought me a new pair of Sterling Wool slippers and new wool Kilt hose (3) from Hamilton Dry Goods. Marilyn got almost everything she had wanted and a new controller for her Subaru car window, which Santa brought. Now her window will go up with the button. (Long Story)

My wonderful mother-in-law knew some of the things we'd been needing and wanting. Aside from some MUCH needed skin care stuff we'd run out of (she got us hooked on it last year), she somehow knew I had been wanting more bagpipe music. She gave me two CDs: The Scots Guards Pipes & Drums Spirit of the Highlands, and she gave me Scottish Drinking and Pipe Songs featuring Ewan MacColl & Peggy Seeger. She'd heard recordings by Ewan MacColl before and wanted to share them with me, so that was an unexpected pleasant surprise. I can't wait to put them on my iPod.

The very best present I could ever have and Santa came up trumps! My eldest son came back from Afganistan today and is retiring from the Royal Marines after 12 years. Thanks Santa!

Wife gave me a new camera, so I should be able to take lots of good kilt photos and pictures of the Scottish scenery.
