    now I like that very much, very fetching, just how much material is required to make one of those, and woud Lady Chrystel be of mind to make me one in my own tartan if I was to send it to her ?

    L.C. would need about 50cm / 100cm. (it can be in 2 pieces of 50cm/50cm)

    For our friends beyond the pond that's 19-20 inches by 39-40 inches. Or 2 pieces of 19-20/19-20 inches.

    She is telling me as I am writing that if you have a little less, she can manage.

    ...and yes she can make it in any material you want.
