Oh man...many years ago when I visited my aunt in Liverpool she would make what she called cheese and onion cobs. Sharp cheddar cheese---brings back memories I hadn't thought about in years. Gotta go buy some cheddar---but I'm sure it won't be the same!! Thanks for a great tour.

Looks like a great day! Just wish we had pubs like that here in the USA. I really miss that aspect of British life.

Amen! That had me weeping for the "Hare and Hounds" in Old Warden, Bedfordshire, which had amazing jacket potatoes, ales and ciders. The mere fact that I can recall its name after 15 years tells you how much it impressed me.
