How I pulled off buying "yet more" fabric is that my father-in-law is Scottish born (now lives here in Vancouver) and has being hinting how he would like a kilt. Well, he is a great guy and deserves one. luckily, the tartan is asymmetrical ..so i "had" to buy 8 yards. Well, that happens to be enough for two kilts! The perfect win-win situation.
On a side note for those from the States - New England is full of beautiful maple trees - no need to be Canadian to feel a connection to this tartan.
