It isn't a named tartan, as far as I know.
The colours are good - though that is actually the wrong side of the fabric - The right side is brushed, but I did not realise until I got it home after buying the whole roll of fabric. At least it was cheap, and not bad quality.
The brushing means that it requires pressing to flatten it out, but once it gives in, it isn't at all bad.

It'll be a few weeks, but look....over 100 X-Kilts have been made with the old manual. there's only going to be one significant change in the new one, and that has to do with the over-apron strip. EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE IDENTICAL.
I'm just going to be correcting th emajor goof with that one thing, and adding a bunch of pictures adn then incorporating sydnie7's instructions on making a Reverse kinguisse variant on the X-Kilt.
so go ahead and start, don't wait for the new manual. Just START.
