Puffer,
Jock Scot is quite correct that a Laird's Plaid would be quite inappropriate.
You see here in California our weather is influenced by an a meteorological object unknown in Scotland...
...it is called "The Sun"
Being that it was 60 degrees today a Laird's Plaid would have been far to warm to wear!

Cheers

Does the waistcoat match the jacket, or just go with it?
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Ted the jacket is a dark brown, with two vents, one breast pocket, and three front pockets. The third pocket is a "ticket pocket" right above the right hand side one.
The waistcoat is a dark brown corduroy. It is a slightly lighter shade of brown but the two work well together.
The waistcoat has 2 sets of pockets
The watch chain is hung between the two top pockets.
There is a locket on one side of the chain and the watch on the other.
The kilt is a 5 yard knife pleated one in the Galbraith Ancient tartan made by Matt Newsome.
Cheers

Cool, thanks for describing that, Panache. Sounds sharp to me. It's interesting that you are using a corduroy waistcoat with the jacket. Even if it were the same color the different texture would still have a contrast to the jacket's material.

Jaime,
As always you have put together a brilliant look.
I wonder if you always look that good?
As a fellow Californian, who wears a hat, every time he leaves the house, I like the look. Though I admit to owning and wearing various Tams and Flat Caps, mostly I wear brimmed hats. Yes, even with my kilts.
Cheers,
Marshal Moroni
I just wish I could look as "together" as you do.
