    Best,

Robert - know how you feel. One of the best times I used to have while I lived in Paris was attending the Salon National des Vins des Cave Particulieres each year. What a great way to get an education on various varietals and regions.

    I'm afraid I have. Well,

Before my recent health problems I was very much interested in studying the local French Alps grape varieties like
    - Jacquère,
    - Mondeuse (red and white),
    - Pinot (grey and black),
    - Velteliner,
    - Persan,
    - Roussanne,
    - Roussette,
    - Teiturier (Bouze and Chaudenay),
    - Molette
and finally, the one growing just accross the valley: Gringet.

For those of you who are interested in rare tastes an can read French or Italian, I invite you to check out this site :

I also love grape varieties from Switzerland.

    Best,

    Robert
