Snow in the UK!!!

Its quite amusing how England grinds to a halt when they get a little fall of snow as they get so little snow that they do not invest on contingency plans to deal with it when it does occur.
Here in Scotland it is very much business as usual, I have been out hillwalking in my Blacklader kilt this afternoon.

It's not so much grinding to a halt as too much sliding sideways that stops the traffic.

My husband reported that the roads were like a skating rink this morning, with some idiot drivers traveling along with barely two yards between their front bumpers and the rear of a car being driven along carefully.

The local TV news regaled us with footage of lorries vans and cars which had come to grief in the icy conditions, and intrepid folk who had walked to work through the snow.

This was my back garden trampoline about 9 am, with the first snowfall on it. No. I did not clear it off and have a go, I might have shattered.
