Thanks Barb... (big cheesy grin!) I really do appreciate all the help and the book was well worth every penny (cent)!

Now - am I thinking of doing another one....??? That's the million dollar question! Well - if I EVER found enough 'MacGillivray Ancient Hunting Muted' in ANY weight - then YES YES YES I would! ... (he starts to daydream) and if I found it in the 16oz - WOW - lets not even go there....!!! The issue for me is that the kilt/tartan I really want is one of those rare ones that has the mill making a length specially - I dont suppose anyone has a lenght lying round they are interested in selling.....?

So - if I found the right tartan in 16oz - yes - but I'd have to buy in the proper tailors canvas too!

For now - I'm toying with a custom sporran idea - to go with my new PV 'Scottish National' heavy weight that I've bought for the Calcutta match at Twickenham this year.... a rugby sporran - of sorts. Depends how I get on with my raw materials on eBay! If I manage to do something expect to see another post from me....

It's really not that frightening a cost - D.C. Dalgliesh will custom weave a single kilt length of 16 oz tartan for under $400. If you're sewing your own kilt, and don't have to pay someone to stitch it up for you, it's _definitely_ worth it!
