No. I'm referring to the walking sticks/canes carried by the officers in the movie Tunes of Glory. These are not the same as a swagger/pace stick.

Strange website. It won't let me see the picture. Nevertheless, I stand corrected, and I thank you for that. My apologies if it seemed I was doubting you - I wasn't! I was just trying to clarify.
I don't recall ever seeing anything quite like what you describe though, in my all too short and limited military career.
