British TV advert has a piper

I noticed an advert for a funeral arranger on British TV today, towards the end there is a kilted piper.

I was so surprised I forgot to take note of which firm it was.

    Possibly the Cooperative.

Probably a local ad. on the Meridian channel, Anne. I doubt it would be put out on the ITV network if it was for a Funeral Director!

    Take care,
    Ham.

    Piper on Ad

    'Twas indeed the Co-operative!

I've been seeing it a lot recently on the various ITV type channels - might be a regional thing as I'm just across the border in Carlisle....

Oh well, there you go! I stand corrected. As yet, I have not seen the ad. but then I seldom look at the commercial channels, being such a huge fan of the BBC!

Actually, come to think of it, I believe most Funeral Directors have access to lone pipers should they be requested for funerals. My own 'farewell ceremony' was arranged and paid for - but not booked - several years ago, and our local Funeral Director had no problems, even down here near Worthing, in including a piper in the arrangements according to my wishes.

    Take care,
    Ham.

My goodness Ham, delighted to hear that you haven't booked, and I sincerely hope that this particular piper won't be called upon for his services for many many years hence.

Personally, I'm rather looking forward to an invitation to your 100th birthday/300th kilt celebrations!
