Well, Well, Well, - it looks like the ritual blood letting was more than worthwhile! Very nice work Star! I imagine your two wee ones will be amazing artists/craftspersons/scientists what with all the talent of their parents!

    I just love my wife...

This new jacket has become a favorite of mine, it is light weight, comfortable, and looks very sharp without looking too dressy.

In other words it's just perfect for smart day wear.

I saw the other day that Target now carries the same jacket in Khaki and mentioned it to the Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess. I joked that in another couple of months I might be able to score another bargain from the clearance rack.

She asked me if I would like another jacket? When I eagerly responded yes she said...

    "Just go buy it"

She has a lot on her plate at work at the moment, so I may have to wait a month or so for her to find the time to convert the jacket.

Still, I am one lucky, lucky man!

    Cheers

Is it just my eyes, or do I see a second (presumably false) pocket flap added above the original, functioning flap? That's a nice touch, adds some balance and makes it look less like a jacket that was shortened. Well done!

Actually I think it's a functional pocket---it's called a "ticket pocket" if I recall correctly. I have an ancient suit coat in line to be bob-tailed that has just the same arrangement.

Well, it doesn't show on the original jacket, so I'm assuming that it is just an additional flap. Unless she got WAY ambitious!
