I believed that the name does appear on the reverse of all 'Miracle' items so, without it, could I have a dud on my hands?
Robert, or one of the other experts: could you put my mind at rest over this please?
Take care,

Dear Ham,
I am writing these lines from Brittany where I am giving a master class. "Bons baisers de Bretagne !"
Please be at peace ! The word Miracle is not present on all Miracle brooches. Actually it doesn't appear on some vintage Miracle brooches.
Please notice that some Miracle concurrents also made very fine brooches.
I have a brooch with the word Jacobite behind it... It may be a Miracle brooch, or it may not be; but it is truely gorgeous.
I hope this brings a bit of solace... un peu de baume au coeur.
Best,
Robert

Ahhhh! Merci Robert. I have just added a photo of the brooch to my last posting. It was advertised as 'Vintage' so I will assume it to be a genuine 'Miracle' brooch! I can see this looking very nice on one or two of my tweed kilts, but I need to strengthen the pin at the back before wearing it. So, photos later.
Brittany, eh? I also will be in Brittany for the weekend two weeks from tomorrow - in Lorient to be precise - but the reason for my being there will be revealed after my visit!
Take care,
Ham.

P.S. Hamish, I use Ebay all the time but I hardly ever bid on anything, I just do Buy It Now. That way you KNOW you've won.
Wow ! This is impressive ! Congratulations !

BTW: How do you like this one?
They are both awsome ! I simply love them ! Great choice. Now let's see those guys on kilts !

I am so glad you got that one, I was about to bid on it but thought it might be the one you wanted, it really is a handsome brooch. Congratulations.

What a fabulous thread --- thanks for sharing all those brooch pictures and vintage pictures.... Excellent.
Here's my other kilt pin (it's not mine though, just borrowed it, indefinitely)
