I'm looking forward to it. I saw that they were playing here and decided to get a ticket. I'm going kilted and black tie with my Brian Boru jacket.
I figure that there will be a time when I won't get a chance to see them live, so I'm taking the opportunity while I can.

Chieftains tickets
Frank, go to the Kennedy Center website for tickets or call them. I looked on line and saw that some sites were double or triple what the center is charging for the same ticket.
Tickets: $35.00 - $65.00

Not bad considering the event and location. I paid $75 to see TSO at the Verizon Center at Christmas.

You're welcome Mael. I would have loved to come but unfortunately I can't. I hope you both do.

So far, here are the people who are planning to attend the concert.
(1) M_Beorn
(2) Dryfly + 4 guests
I hope you guys can contact each other here in this thread and perhaps set up a time for a meet & greet (before and/or after the concert).
---------------
I'm planning to create a list of local Xmarkers (DC/VA/MD) who would like to be included in occasional PM's for events that may be of interest like concerts and kilt nights, in addition to a thread. Just like I did yesterday I PM-ed 25 or so but I'm sure there's a few more that I'm missing.
All you need to do is post a comment on this thread or PM me if you wish to be included. What I'll do is compile it and send it to everybody. Cool?
OR, in addition, I can create an XMTS social group for the local area. We have KROVA for Virginians, but I'd like to have overlap with DC/MD peeps. Thoughts?
Thanks!

That's great Meinfs. Sorry you won't be making it, I look forward to getting together at another event. A DC/MD/VA kilt night would be great. Perhaps we could form a group that meets regularly say every month or two, selecting different locations around the area to meet.
I'm always looking for a decent restaurants and this would be a good way to check out some that I might night just go out and try or haven't heard of before.
Put me on your list for future contacts.

Excellent! I'm glad you're going. Unfortunately, I can't go.
I'll post others who are going so you all can perhaps meet up...
