The Chieftans in Atlanta

Any Atlantans going to see The Chieftans at the Fox Theater Saturday night, February 28? See http://www.foxtheatre.org/cgi-bin/ca...28&m=02&y=2009

They are on at 8 PM, and I am thinking of going, though tickets are steep, $35-$75. I have never seen them before, and have no idea if their showmanship could make it worthwhile.

If it happens, anyone interested in dinner in Midtown beforehand?

My wife and I saw the Chieftains when they came to Chapel Hill, NC. It was a great show. I'd encourage you to go. Derek Bell passed away several years ago. It's only a matter of time before more of their members depart for Tir na Nog.

They have been a successful band for over 30 years and have had many great artist perform with them This would not be a show to miss! =)

They are playing here too. Based on the comments, I've decided to try and attend the concert here. It is a work day but it would be a great opportunity to wear the kilt, Brian Boru Jacket and go Black tie!

They're always worth seeing. I'll be playing with them for the third year running this Sunday in Philadelphia.
