Sounds good, glad you were able to make your own gardening kilts.
For a lot of the light work, it is very delightful to wear a kilt while gardening. I don't do that any more, but it was nice when I did wear it.
You know, I've been cutting limbs off of a volkamer lemon tree back there in the citrus grove to make into walking sticks. It's not the hardest wood, but I think it will be ok. At least in a couple of years when they have dryed down etc.
At one point I had almond trees along with peaches, apricots and some other of those kind of trees. When I started switching over to desert crops, I removed those trees and the wood went to an artist or two. I did save one alomnd branch with a large knob on one end. It is about waist high, and the wood is a bit like cherry wood.
I do have a sour orange tree that has fairly hard wood. He will make some good sticks, as well as, a mesquite tree, which is a very hard wood.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
