There was a D.J. on Radio Clyde when it first went on the air who in his openings always made reference to the Cowcaddens. I was born in Paisley,but grew up in Penilee/Hillington/Cardonald(I went to school on Paisley Rd East).
I grew up in Glasgow and worked in Hillington/Cardonald many years ago (next door to the Argosy Bar if it's still there). That's where I saw the bungalow with the nameplate "Oorain" on it!
