From Glesga to America in one lifetime
Hello to you all,
Please accept my humble apologies for the delay in introducing myself. I was born and raised in Paisley,Scotland. I ran away to the Army at age 15 and have been leading a gypsy's life ever since. My current abode is in Puyallup,WA. My Clan affiliation is MacNeil but have to admit to a proclivity to wear any and all Tartan I can get my mitts on. I enjoy a good laugh and loud discussions/arguments. From the minute I found this arena I knew that this is the place that I could listen and learn. I look forward to meeting some of you at the Seattle St Paddy's Day Parade on Saturday,(I'm the wee man with the midden-rakers face). I will update my photo within the next few days and get in step with the rest of you laddie's. Let me close by saying, Hale and Well Met.
Aye Yours.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

from Scotland. Excuse me asking but why "Laird o Cowcaddens" when you were born and raised a Paisley buddy? I know some Paisley folk that wouldn't even know where the Cowcaddens was.

Radio Clyde
Hi Phil,
There was a D.J. on Radio Clyde when it first went on the air who in his openings always made reference to the Cowcaddens. I was born in Paisley, but grew up in Penilee/Hillington/Cardonald(I went to school on Paisley Rd East).
Aye Yours.

I grew up in Glasgow and worked in Hillington/Cardonald many years ago (next door to the Argosy Bar if it's still there). That's where I saw the bungalow with the nameplate "Oorain" on it!
