What is startling to this one-time resident of Southwestern Ontario, though, is the lack of snow and a rather spring-like day. I don't think I ever saw a St. Patrick's Day without snow on the ground during all my 11 years going to school in Toronto.

I guess that's Global Warming for you. I must admit it is a relatively new phenomenon, when I was growing up the snow was much worse than it is today, of course who am I to complain? I must say I was more than comfortable in my Harris Tweed Argyll.
