    some jurisdictions put the apron on over the jacket

    That would be the Scottish and Irish constitution lodges here in NZ.
    Whoops!!!

    Just re read that.

    The irish and Scots Cons' wear the apron under the jackets here and the english and NZ cons' wear them over the jackets...

    Wasn't sure if I asked this already....

    The pipes in the photo...are those MacPhersons? They look to be plain turned w/ chalice tops. Been looking into those as of late.

    They're a set of Kintails, plain turned, chalice tops, mounted w/ artificial horn. I like their sound and looks. The chanter is an old (40's - 50's vintage) Forbes. My instructors pipes are an older set of Robertsons, when we're going to play together I use the Forbes to simplify the tuning.
    Just before I picked up the Kintails, I looked at MacPhersons. Don't know that I've ever heard a set, but I certainly like their looks, and they seem to have a good reputation.
    All skill and effort is to no avail when an angel pees down your drones.
