Tonight on the History Channel...
Not sure if this is the right place for this, so mods feel free to move it if need be. Anyway.
Tonight on the History Channel...on the show Warriors.
Warriors : Braveheart
Airs on Friday March 27 11:00 PM
Host Terry Schappert travels to Scotland to examine the epic Battle of Stirling Bridge where William "Braveheart" Wallace and his rag-tag band of soldiers took on the full power of the English army. Terry uses his expertise as a Green Beret to breakdown this battle through the eyes of the soldiers. He'll explain how the techniques, weaponry, and strategy of these warriors influenced the surprising outcome of the battle.
It'll be interesting to see if they get it right, i.e. kilts. I watched the Vikings episode last night and it was pretty good.

I have to remember to watch this. Thank you for posting it.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

By this, I hope you mean they won't be in kilts, in spite of Mel Gibson's version of history and historic costume. In fact, they should be dressed a lot like my little avatar.

The results of that battle were preordained by the idiocy of the English commander, rather than any cunning or valour of the Scots. Not to take anything away from Bill Wallace and the boys, and their other exploits, but it would have been difficult for the Scots to have lost that battle. It was a SNAFU on the part of the English.

I wonder if the program will mention the other Scottish victory, namely the Battle of Roslin in 1303? What say you, Scotus?

I doubt they'll mention it. It doesn't fit with the Bruce propaganda machine created after the murder of the Red Comyn, who bravely led 8,000 men to victory over 30,000 English at Roslin.
