My Father's lineage is English, but those lads married lots of Celtic women, however most were Irish! There is, however two from his side, Ross and Leslie.
My mother was Scots, her clan is Maclaine of Lochbuie, her two grandmothers were both Boyd.
My current (and only) kilt is the red Maclaine. I have material in the ancient sett (blue) that I am saving up to be able to pay a top quality kilt maker to make up. I would also like to get the hunting, very hard to find. Most of the mills confuse the ancient sett with the hunting, as it is nearly identical.
Beyond the above, I suppose I would also go for district tartans, Carolinas (I live there) Lochaber (I own a bit of land there) and the Edzell, which is also the U.S. Navy tartan, (I am ex-Navy).
The pipes are calling, resistance is futile. - MacTalla Mor
