I'm having trouble believing his statement that he sold the kilt that went with that sporran for a lot of money...

But if we give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe a Native American saw a Highlander in a kilt, liked the look, and made his version of the style?

Wow .... that's all I can think of to describe that thing. The problem is, as time goes on and times get tougher we'll be seeing a lot more folks trying to sell stuff like that to unsuspecting buyers. Looks like to me the bloke cobbled it together himself. I'm not saying the seller is being unscrupulous but desperate times cause folks to do crazy stuff.

I agree with you guys, this is a fly-by-night chancer, someone should e-mail him telling him that he has in his possession an incredibly rare artifact and should delay selling it until it is properly appraised. Who is game ???
