The VMac Cape Jones is ON!!
Dearest Rabble,
After seeing pictures McMurdo's and CaptMac lovely Inverness Capes, I contacted VMac3205 about making me a cape. I have secretly wanted one for a very long time, but they are usualy outrageously out of my budget.. well until Victoria came along.
It took me almost three months of sticking every Toonie (the Canadian two dollar coin) I received in change into an old Twinings can, but I did it!
And today it paid off. I received pictures of my finished cape and news that it will be shipped Friday. I can't wait!!
BTW Victoria is one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. I have only seen pictures of the final product, but if the cape is half as nice as the pictures, I am in for one heck of a garment!!
I will post pics when it gets here..
Yours truly,
A very excited Sara

Sara,
The cape is NOT half as good as the pics. It's 50 times BETTER than the pics!
I got my cape a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm waiting to get my PC back from the alteration shop to take some pics. You'll love the cape, and you'll probably have some cold weather to wear it this spring. VMac is one of many very talented artists who are part of this community, and is very easy to work with. My only advice: don't watch the mailbox. Your cape will arrive when you least expect it!

Congrats, Sara! I told you you'd love it.
Here's some free advice: invest in a lint roller! My black cape took 4 sheets, and it's ready to be rolled again.
I'm looking forward to the pics, and I hope to post some of mine, too.

With two Golden Retrievers in the house, why do you think I sent it to the dry cleaners before I sent it out to you? You might try Scotchguard. It won't hurt the wool, and makes it easier to shed the stuff.

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
