			Casual shoe / ghillie alternative

Some time ago, I posted this photo of me in a kilt, which I no longer wear...

A lot of people commented on my shoes, which are a discontinued line of Skechers - a favorite pair that I've had re-soled once.

I'm always on the lookout for something like them, and noticed the other day when I was buying a new pair of shoes for work from Johnson & Murphy (brogues, actually, for use with kilts, too), I saw that they had these I think would be pretty good for summer casual wear with the kilt.

My one hesitation is that I think their profile may be just a little bit too slim for my taste. If I get the chance, I may go back for a second look.

 Regards,
 Rex.

I have looked at other Skechers for a casual kilt shoe, but I do like your original ones too. With my feet being wide sometimes it's hard to find a good looking shoe that's comfortable. My Ecco's are comfy but brown and I think black is a better choice, for my taste.

I too like both of your choices for the casual look while kilted.

I think that would pass the Hamish test for casual wear, they are not sandals but a bit more sophisticated.
