Hard part about pictures is that I am normally the guy who takes pictures amongst my friends. I will try and get someone to take some, but they get all self-concious because I have schooling for photography and they think I will hate the pictures they take. I would love some and will even let them use my camera.

Honestly, if you're willing to learn the music they shouldn't care if you're wearing a kilt. I have played numerous gigs kilted with my swing band and no one has said anything. If they don't want you around becaue you wear a kilt, you're probably better off finding a different group.

If you're a good bassist, you could wear a chicken suit or one of those inflatable sumo wrestler outfits and nobody would care.
Let your chops do the talking, kilted or not.

I was thinking about starting to wear a kilt to my acoustic gigs... I don't do but one Christy Moore tune, but I can always add. It would definitely set me apart in the Long Island music scene.

There are other bassists here, BassClefB, for example. I'm sure their input would be useful for you.

If i can wear a kilt in a metal band, then i don't see why not for grunge. yes, its different music but who cares its not the looks that matter.
