As others have suggested, your argyll,waistcoat,and regular necktie is just the ticket. A regular white shirt with spread collar is the one to go for. Just so you know, seeing that you are an expat, there is a difference of definition between this side of the pond(UK) and the other(USA) over what constitutes as a "dress" shirt. As I understand it and I have had it confirmed, a dress shirt in the USA is the shirt you are proposing to wear(regular white shirt). Over here a dress shirt is the type worn with formal evening wear. Be warned. Oh and have a great time at the wedding.
