Have a great time! Looks like you have plenty of advice. My only comment is drop the belt if you are wearing a waistcoat. The belt puts too much bulk under the bottom of the vest.

If you wear the PC with bow tie, you probably will be the only person not in the wedding party in a bow tie.
I would suggest that you find out how other guests will be dressed. Most of the weddings I've attended in the last 20 years or so have had a wide variety of levels of formality in the guests' dress. The Argyle (without the waistcoat), a white shirt and tie, kilt, sporran, belt/no belt, hose and shoes will probably be "dressy" enough, unless it's a very formal wedding at which the guests will dress accordingly. We dress much more casually over here than we used to, for better or worse...

    Welcome aboard, by the way.

Considering it is an afternoon wedding, I have to second Jock in saying that the Argyll, waistcoat, spread collar shirt, and long tie are the ticket. You'll look smashing and fall right into place. As for your hose, I say try matching it with some other colour in your outfit. I believe you mentioned green hose, if they match the green in your kilt (great tartan, btw) go for it.

    Welcome, from Tennessee!

    Cheers,
    Aaron
