			 TN Pubs listing

Hello all!Just wanted to create a space to post all of the pubs that we know of all over TN. I know of three off the top of my head that are each great in their own respect:

Mulligan's - Has been mentioned on here a couple of times before. Irish music every weekend. Truly energetic atmosphere on those day, make no mistake! The owner has been quoted saying they were also friendly to regemental kilties! Try the Jug O'Punch! Yikes!

McCreary's - This place I love! Small but charming! Guinness, Smithwick's, Bass(?), and Woodchucks always on tap! Friendly servers in a welcoming little pub! Live Celtic music every Fri and Sat!

Dan MacGuinness - I've only been here once and I was NOT in a drinking mood (mainly because I HAD BEEN in a drinking mood the night before...*ahem!*). There's one on Music Row and one in Cool Springs. Supposedly, this place was built in Ireland and shipped over. Now a very successful chain, they offer GREAT food and a good selection of beer as well as a full bar.

Ok, I've started it... Let's populate this list so we can populate these pubs!

The Black Horse is on Franklin Street in downtown Clarksville. Not far from Riverside Drive. If you take a trip to the pub make sure to order a Barnstormer. It is their best beer in my opinion. Also the pretzels with beer cheese are awesome. Now I am getting thirsty and hungry.

Well, for Knoxville I know of a few...
There's the Crown and Goose (currently the ET kilties meeting place)
They're a great English style pub in the Old City down on N. Central, and they even have a Beer Garden/Patio. The menu is higher end as they claim to be a gastropub, catering to a higher pallete. You can find them at www.thecrownandgoose.com

 Irish Times
I personally have not been here, but have heard that it's a good place to go, with a great selection of beers.

 Union Jacks
This little pub is found on Northshore Dr. just off the Papermill exit of I-40. They boast an incredible array of worldwide beers.

 Smoky Mountain Brewery
Part of the Calhoun's family of restaurants, this is their version of a micro-brew pub and pizzeria. My wife and I have been here multiple times and enjoy it every time. I like their Black Bear Stout, an the IPA, and their seasonal brew are usually worth checking out too!

 In Gatlinburg:
There is another of the Smoky Mountain Brewery restaurants. Worthy of a visit.

The Fox and Parrot- a small family owned establishment, that tends to have odd hours in the off season (read not tourist season), but is a nice little place off the beaten path on the backside of Gatlinburg in the artist community. We went there a couple of years ago, and had a grand time, good beer, good fish and chips, and had a good time talking to the barkeep (who is a British ex-pat.)

If you're in the area, any of these pubs are a worthy trip.
