Take care of yourself and thanks for helping out.
I know what you mean – HOT weather calls for contemporary fabrics.

Wow! That's a really great idea! *files it in the back of her head for future reference*
I don't understand the women who dislike it and frown upon it because I just love my Scottish Heritage. I am also the luckiest of the lucky because my bf wears a kilt full-time and has 18 in his closet.
Catherine the truly blessed. On a serious note, I have come to wear I don't really think anything about him wearing a kilt. In fact for me, I am more aware of what he is wearing on the rare situation when he is wearing pants because there are some things you just don't want to do in a kilt, such as taking the garbage out.

My wonderful lady Sydnie7 is the one who started me on the road to being kilted. She has made either 4 or 5 kilts for me and encourages me to kilt whenever possible. Of course she also is the lady behind flamingokilts.biz. My two semi-grown daughters aren't quite sure about kilts but have only seen pictures of me.

My Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess, known as The F-H.C.A.G. on XMTS thinks guys in kilts are sexy.
Who am I to disagree with her!

This was not the reaction I was hoping for. So what you?
Does your wife/girlfriend go nuts for the kilt? Don't really care? Or dislike the pleated garment?
My wife likes my kilt, she wants a kilted skirt so that she can match me though lol. Always fun to wear the kilt in public, most people know what it is, and they respect it for the most part... those who think it's funny or effeminate don't say anything though. Although that may be because I'm 6'3 and 300lbs The women love it though and your wife may just need to get used to the idea before she is comfortable with it.

Welcome Giant77. 6'3" and 300lbs you say? Might I interest you in The Gentlemen Of Substance social group here on X? Just go to Quick Links above and click on social groups. I think you would be a fine member ;)
I think if my wife could find a skirt in our clan tartan she would probably be more willing to step out with me....not that she doesn't anyway...

My wife loved it when we were in Edinburgh. Now, she's kinda iffy on them. Good thing I don't always listen to her opinion

Joining the "Gentlemen of Substance" was the first thing I did when I joined.
I live in the city now (new orleans) so there aren't many if any people who wear a kilt on a regular basis out here. So I try to wear it as much as possible so that the kilt can catch on more and if half the people who asked me where to get one, got one... then there'd be a lot of kilts around here.
BTW, I hope your wife isn't a jealous woman, because I honestly can't go anywhere without a woman asking me what I wear under the kilt.
