    Anzac Day

Anzac Day is coming up (25 April). Best wishes to all the antipodean X Markers. Here is a link to the Returned & Services League Australia Raise a Glass Appeal website. Some moving stories on here so go careful.

I hadn't forgotten you mate. Just I got the RSL link by email from a serving Aus in Darwin and didn't have one for the New Zealanders. I posted it 'cause I thought the videos were very moving. Hope I didn't cause offence.

Brave the weather though. And I know enjoy isn't the appropriate word but have a good one anyway.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
    We will remember them.

I will raise a glass in memory.

    ANZAC Day

I will be thinking of two mates of mine in Qld. tomorrow, both ex-RAN.

And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda by Eric Bogle, originally from Peebles, performed by John Williamson.

    Lest we forget.

Today in class, my psychology professor, who is from Australia, made us ANZAC Day cookies (no eggs, so they could be sent to soldiers) and said the ANZAC Day prayer.
