Thanks ChattanCat for Tweed Jacket Conversion

My wife found a Harris Tweed jacket at a rummage sale for $5. Right size. So off to ChattanCat who did the conversion. He shortened it, sealed up the pockets and moved the flaps up, made epaulets out of the excess fabric, sealed up the center vent in the back, created two side vents, and changed out the buttons. Any thing else, Wally? A job well done. I wore it this morning and got a lot of complements.

ChattanCat does a great job, I too found a Salvation Army sportscoat for $5 and he made it into a fantastic kilt jacket.

    It looks good on you.

Here is how mine turned out.

Very sharp. If only I could find something that would fit me, as I have a small torso and really long arms.

The good thing is that you only have to make sure the sleeves are the right length. The jacket will be cut to be above the bottom of the fell (the bottom of the sewn down part of the pleats) by about 1".
    Good hunting,

Sorry, I guess I should explain. When I said small torso, I meant in diameter. My torso is of average length, but to put it bluntly, I am skinny. Anything that doesn't come to half way down my forearms generally looks like a tent on me. I will find something one of these days though.
