My wife has kindly offered to try to turn a tweed sport coat into a kilt jacket for me. (silly girl)

I have seen the thread from the Flame Haired Celtic Godess, Alan H's instructions on his site. But there was one other.... Some how I thought it was a thread by McClef, but I looked through his threads and couldn't find it.
The pictures on that particular thread seemed very useful.

My thought is that between the three, my wife would have a very good idea on how to proceed.

I have the jacket. A $6.00 herringbone tweed that appears unworn. (Thrift stores are your friend!)
