I vote Border Collie. Two dogs that I love very much are (and were) border collie crosses. I am too nervous to have a purbred BC, I fear it may out smart me!

i had a golden Labrador /Retriever mongrel dog i was about 4-5 when i got "barney" a name i gave him from my love of the flintstones cartoon as a boy
the poor bugger sadly had to be put to sleep due to prostrate cancer when i was 22 this dog was one of the lads and almost like a brother to me in some ways, a few years before he became ill he had the fitness of a 10 year old from what a few vets said mainly due to playing with all my mates
give me a mongrel anyday ....inbreed/pedigree dogs to me just don't seem right and are more hassle with genetic health issues than a bog standard mutt

Reason: addition
Gordon Setter!..I am fortunate enough to be owned by a daughter of this year's Best of Breed (Gordon Setter) winner at Westminster, E.T...and last week she became a Canine Blood Donor! A "Blue Blood" and a blood donor! Can you tell I couldn't be prouder?
Some may say the glass is half full,
Some may say it's half empty...
But a Scot will forever say,
"Ar' ye gang tae swally tha'?"
Whippets are said to have originated across the Border in northern England in the 19th cnetury, bred down from greyhounds. There isn't a sweeter breed.
