    Smile Favourite Celtic Dog

OK - I know that the dogs per se aren't celtic, but which breeds associated with Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Isle of Man, and Brittany are your favourites? Mine is fairly obvious from my avatar. If you don't like dogs, then which one would look the best with your kilt? (No - not as a sporran - that's sick!)
    Cheers, ColMac

Scottish Deerhound, Royal dog of Scotland. Look great in a pair or more on lead with a kilted walker.

Gordon Setter, originally bred by the fourth Duke of Gordon.

Well, we have a small pack here- all my favorites- 2 goldens, one scottie, one westie/yorkie mix- falling more to the westie side. I'll have to dig up some photos.

I would say Airedale, because I love that breed, but, they are of English origin and not Celtic. So instead, I'll go with their major root breed, the Welsh terrier.

Clearly this breed was meant for the wide open fields of the UK. Our yard is just too dangerous for a curious boy.

I am a "Animal Lover" at heart, and raise Shih Tzu's. I have nine(9) yep nine.

To choose a favorite it would have to be the Yorkie.

Do Irish Wolfhounds count? I don't know much about dogs, I had a black lab/collie cross when I was wee but that's it. But I like big dogs and a guy in my neighbourhood has an Irish Wolfhound, it's like a pony! Unfortunately I know the breed, like many large breeds, has health problems and a fairly short lifespan - I don't think I could cope with only having a dog for a few years before it passed away.
Wish I could get a dog but I know my lifestyle couldn't handle all the attention required right now so I resist...
