    Brothers in Kilts

My eldest brother has decided he wants a kilt and with his birthday coiming up soon our Mom asked if I would get him one from SK. She also suggested I get myself one too. Since I had some navy blue cotton twill and chinese silk I figured it was high time I threw down another challenge for James and company. Lesson one: always carry your camera - when I got out of my truck at SK's front door a B-24 Liberator and a P-51 chase plane arced overhead. Incredible sight and sound !
My kilt will have 1 inch outer pleats with 3 inch deep inners (it's friday, proper terminology escapes me now), navy with royal blue and dragons.
My brother will be getting the Irish Revenge (which looks great in their team kilt line I might add) with all the bells and whistles.
If he digs the kilt I'll get him a proper Taylor tartan kilt later.
In August my friend and fellow kiltie Woody will be opening his new pub in Corona, CA and we'll both be kilted as required by law.
Woody owned Francie's on River Road but that establishemnt closed last night and the name will be retired. Francie herself retired some time earlier but was there for the end.
I'll post a note when Boondocks opens.

CT - have a great weekend

I am glad that you can share your kilting with your brother. I have two younger brothers who cling to the new world portion of our linage, they don't except my kilts or me wearing them, I don't see either of them much as they live in Ohio and I in Florida.

Irish Revenge is a good-looking tartan. That's a unique choice for a first kilt. Good call.
Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!
