Hmmmm.....since I don't have any formal kilt attire (i.e. jackets, ties, etc.) my process of dressing depends on how casual I chose to be....
If I'm going uber-casual, then it's usually socks first, kilt then a t-shirt. Sometimes a sporran - sometimes not. Depends on if I'll be going out.
If it's just a nice casual, the shirt and kilt hose first. If I'm leaving right away, shoes next. Kilt on last with the belt and sporran to follow. Flashes usually go on last since I always seem to grab those last and I like to adjust them evenly as the last thing I do. Kilt pin next. If I had a sgian dubh, I would put that on last - gonna remedy that situation soon.
Flat cap on and I'm out the door....
