    I agree, very commendable and honourable. Unfortunately, at times, we are all a victim of the old adage, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". I've been fooled by some (former) wholesalers in the past, so it's fairly common, I'm afraid.

    Another way to tell whether something is acrylic (assuming you don't want to start fires! ) is to judge by the weight. A number of these Pakistani mills advertise their fabric as 13 oz. or 16 oz. That just isn't true. They usually weigh about 6 oz. in reality. For acrylic to be 16 oz. per linear yard it would have to be very thick indeed. Picture a woollen picnic rug/car blanket and then picture an acrylic version that you could buy at Mall-Wart and you'll see what I mean. Despite comparable yarn thickness, there is an enormous difference in sheer weight.
