    I think you can wear Argyll hose for day time, and I'd say you could dress up the outfit with a dress sporran
    Here are a couple of photos, now this photo is not of the gray jacket and waistcoat but it shows that Argyll hose work with day wear.


    Here is the Gray Braemar with diced hose, and a Sealskin dress sporran.


    And with gray hose


    The leather day wear sporran would work well too
