    My idea would be to wear sandals with no hose. However, if you want to wear hose, a lightweight cotton athletic sock might be your best bet, in a khaki color.

    Not a big sandal guy.

    I did think about looking around for athletic socks. I'll see what I can find.

    That was my first thought, too. If you're not a sandal guy- as I am not- then just shoes and regular socks! Or http://www.kilts-n-stuff.com/Highlan...ear/boots.html would work, too. I have a pair and I love them! I wear them camping and hiking, to festivals, on vacation- pretty much everywhere except to work. And they're nice and cool, too, so your feet won't roast. Or you can get the ankle lenght version.

    We have dry heat here... I hadn't thought of that. Maybe the ankle boots would be best. My wife has a pair and she loves them as muvh as I love my calf high ones.
