No. I folded it, and put in long basting stiches, about 2 to the inch, a little more right at the edges of the pleats. That took a couple hours (though i did it while watching TV, so less time than that), then I sewed it down with the machine (which took five minutes....), and ripped out the basting.
It turned out pretty well. I wore it out last night, but didn't take any pictures. I'll take some tomorrow. I've left instructions to hit me if I think about doing another anytime soon.
