She doesn't have a problem with the kilt, she just doesn't want me wearing that particular kilt while out and about. I can understand. It would be like her wearing her wedding dress to the pub.

Hello and a warm Celtic from Boston, Massachusetts.
It sounds like you have done your research well. I have a Tank as well as other kilts. It gets very hot here in Boston during the summer months, for which I wear a Semi-traditional from USA Kilts. It does work year round. A Freedom Kilt in polyviscous would have the same characteristics. The polyviscous material is lighter than the wool, and due to its nature can be washed and hung to dry if anything spills on it, such as beer from an upper balcony during a concert. It is the ideal oot and aboot kilt for the local pub, shopping, and day to day wear. Both Steve and Rocky are fine kiltmakers, with great customer service. (With Steve, just do NOT get between him and the coffee pot.)

Welcome. I got really drunk in Minneapolis more than once during my 12 year hitch with Honeywell.....

Plenty of great kiltmakers for all types of kilts. Just pay attention to the information on this great board and deal directly with whomever you choose to make your kilt(s)

You can have any two of price, quality, or service.
