Tailor in Minneapolis, MN
Hello all.
Does anyone know of a good tailor/kiltmaker in Minnesota (Minneapolis/St. Paul) that can let my kilt out? I ordered the kilt from Scotland a couple of years ago, and it needs to gain an inch or two for comfort. I was thinking that any qualified tailor should be able to sew longer belt straps on it, but I thought I'd see what you think.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I do compete in the games, and they were held last Saturday, May 19th in Farmington.
However, do not fear, the Minnesota Renaissance Festival will be hosting the World Amateur Heavy Games Championships on Saturday August 25th and the Minnesota State Heavy Games Championships on Sunday August 26th.

Of course I will be out of town for that . . . how did you do at the games?
Any who, there was a booth of women seamstresses at that show, they have shown interest in a number of things I asked about. I'd suspect they would be able make your adjustment.
I had to go look it up, Bent Needle Designs.
Seem like good folk and I think the Frugal folks are going to use them for some stuff . . .

It looks like my days of lurking are done.
I would recommend going to a place called Top Shelf. They are not cheap and they may never have dealt with a kilt before, but they are excellent tailors.

another mpls seamstress
Ray Lundquist is a good chioce to go to for altering or creating custom clothing. She has specialized in the historic re-creation market, as well as had her hands in sci-Fi conventions for over 25 yrs. I have know her for at least 20, and would highly recommend her.
Dreamstitcher is her company name and her work phone is 612-722-8868
