I'll ask him if he's seen anyone kilted in the neighborhood. He and his wife both retired from 3M.

I wasn't at all offended--just thought it was odd, but as I say, that's Austin. They expressed a friendly attitude throughout.

Considering that it was late Saturday evening during Pride weekend, which in Austin is a big time for celebration by gay and non-gay people alike, it's entirely possible that they had been indulging in some legal and/or illegal stimulants and felt a little 'friendlier' than usual. I was cool with it, but l wanted to get to the club for some dancin' rather than continue tossing quips with them on the corner.
