Exchange of Tartan in a Scottish Wedding

I searched through several postings and didn't find anything on Tartan Weddings. I have also looked all over the web to no avail.

I have seen several references to "Exchange of Tartan" in a tartan wedding, but I haven't been able to find a speech anywhere for this part of the ceremony.

I understand that someone from my family, at some point in the ceremony, is supposed to pin her with our tartan, but what do they say when they do it?

If anyone has seen the exchange, or has any ideas, please post.

The Scot's son recently married, and from the pictures I think there was a "sashing" involved. Perhaps he'll tell you exactly what happened.
