Yes, appreciate it, Steve... easy to become complacent when ordering on the web, and yours is a needed reminder!

Their website testimonials might be all BOGUS or their authors (kilt renters) know nothing about proper highland attire.

There is a local shop here, in Saint Charles Missouri, that sells $400.00+ kilts with that tag! I am thankful you posted that! I always go in there and feel the kilts and think to myself"Wow that is stiff for wool!"
They have a house of edgar swatch book on the shelf next to them, and the feel-to-the touch does not compare to their kilts! you guys saved me some humiliation! Thanks...

I got a kilt with that tag for 50$... and it was a fair sight better than what's been described on this thread! No match for my woolie, but still looks pretty good.

The next time you are in there, you might do what Howie Nicholsby once did to show me the difference between wool and acrylic: pour beer over each. The beer flows off the wool like water off a duck's back. The acrylic...well, not so much.

If it had that tag, it's very likely not PV, but an acrylic blend. The PV used by Rocky, MacHummel, and a few others is a far superior product to the rubbish these things are made from.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of rental places do that, if various weddings I've been to and photos I've seen are any indication.
You all know the look: Kilts worn on the hip, hanging well past the knee, white hose pulled up to the knees and beyond, ghillie laces reaching almost that high, a sporran slung too low, a Prince Charlie which is too short and showing a gaping expanse of shirt both at cuffs and waist, and a belt and buckle hanging loosely round the waist!

This story is sad, depressing and angering all at the same time.
