Well, if you think about it, maybe the kilt gods were looking out for you. Imagine where you'd have been if you hadn't saved up all that cash each time, or if you had gotten the kilt first and then had something happen. Their jones spell and your squirrel instincts (rather than paying for stuff with money you don't have) gave you the ability to deal with all the stuff that came your way. Thank them for their intervention, and later you may be rewarded with a wonderful kilt that has more value than it cost.
