X Kilt in 13 oz material?

I have a line on some polyester cotton twill, but it is 13 ounces per yard. Anyone ever made an X kilt (or any other similar contemporary kilt) in material this heavy? Was it difficult to work with? How did it turn out?

I'll get in line behind WoBC for that fabric. . . would really appreciate you sharing your source, if appropriate.

13 oz Poly/Cotton Twill is fairly easy to find. Think a little heavier than "Dockers" pants. ("oh no, Steve said a naughty word".)

A large jobber that sells mostly to big manufacturers in bolts of fabric of 150-1000 yards at a time.

But if you can use up 50-75 yards they will usually cut you off that much for an extra fee.
